World AIDS Day is commemorated on 1st December each year.

World AIDS Day is commemorated on 1st December each year.

Join us at 6pm in Sackville Gardens, Manchester, as we mark World AIDS Day at the Beacon of Hope memorial. The service includes the traditional candlelit procession around the Village. Guest speakers will speak about living with HIV and will call upon us to better understand HIV and to challenge the stigma that is still associated with HIV today. The World AIDS Day commemoration in Manchester is a truly special event, featuring local artists and culminates in the laying of a beautiful ribbon of red roses on the Beacon; a symbol of our remembrance of all those lost to HIV over the years, but also a symbol of solidarity for those living with HIV today.
